Error: When trying to install newer drivers, this error comes up "service name already exists"

Solution:

step 1.

go to and delete this from your registry
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FTSER2K
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FTDIBUS

step 2.

reboot your computer

step 3.

install new drivers
