Hi. My name is Orbie, a yellow labrador pup adopted by the generous people at Matrix Orbital! My two brothers, Galaxy and Orion, and myself all belong to the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS), and organization that works to raise assistance dogs, trained to aid those facing the challenges of hearing or physical disabilities.

Matrix Orbital’s contribution will aid in general accumulative costs, first year training costs, equipment, microchips and staff training. I live here in Calgary and am currently being trained by Trainer Extraordinare Miranda Turenne. During advanced training, from the age of 16 to 24 months, the areas I excel in will determine what kind of assistance dog I will become. I could become either a Service Dog (specializing as a brace dog, mobility dog or pulling dog) or Facility Therapy Dog. Regardless of where I end up, the ultimate goal is that one day I will assist someone special with disabilities and help them to lead a more adaptive and enriched life!

PADS is located in Burnaby, British Columbia and services the provinces of B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. This non-profit organization relies entirely on fundraising, grants and donations to finance the care and training of its assistance dogs.
